Catriona graduated from Glasgow University in 2007, before spending the next 10 years working in different hospital settings providing all aspects of head and neck surgery to dental, trauma and oncology patients. She undertook an implant diploma in 2018, and has been providing surgical dentistry and implants along with general dentistry since.
She is a gentle and non judgmental dentist, confident in providing treatment to anxious dental patients with sedation if needed.

Ian qualified from Glasgow Dental School in 2010. He has worked in several practices across Glasgow and the West of Scotland, before joining Clifton in July 2022. Ian is committed to further education and training to help in the care of his patients.
He gained the MJDF diploma at The Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2012, the Postgraduate Diploma in Conscious Sedation from Newcastle University in 2015, and a Diploma in Restorative Dentistry from University of Chester in 2019. In addition to this, he has also completed further training in Botox and dermal fillers, clear aligner orthodontics, smile design and tooth whitening. The experience and skills gained from this extensive training allows Ian to assess and treat patients with more complex treatment needs. He aims provide the highest quality treatment options for his patients, helping them achieve the smiles they have always desired, in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Outside of dentistry Ian can be seen running about after his two young children and, when he can, enjoys running about some more on the football pitch for his local Sunday league team.

Kevin graduated from Glasgow University with a Bachelor in Dental Surgery in 1995. He was awarded the final year prize in Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine and Oral Pathology before commencing a year of postgraduate training in Edinburgh.
From 1996 to 2000 Kevin worked and trained in the hospital based dental speciality of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. His resident postings were in the South West of England in both civilian and mixed civilian/armed force units where as part of a multi-disciplinary team, he treated everything from wisdom teeth removal and broken facial bones to advanced trauma and cancer cases.
In 1999 he gained his Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons in England. He left the hospital service in 2000 and worked in general dental practice in both England and his native Scotland. He was a visiting Specialist Doctor of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery based in Torbay Hospital in Devon. In addition to his years of hospital surgery training, He has undertaken extensive postgraduate training throughout Europe and the USA in implant dentistry and its associated procedures.
He combined the need for implant dentistry with the growing demand for smile design based cosmetic dental procedures. To facilitate this type of dentistry, he has undertaken advanced cosmetic dental training with the world-famous New York based cosmetic dentist Dr Larry Rosenthal in both Guys Hospital London and The Rosenthal Institute in New York University in the USA. His skills in implant dentistry are sought after throughout the UK working with dentists in Scotland, England and Northern Ireland. He is a senior tutor in implant training at the Dentale Centre in Bristol where over 1000 implants are placed every year.
In 2017 he completed the following Masters University Programmes, Master in Prevention and Management of Esthetic Failures, University of Bern, Switzerland, Master in Regenerative Plastic-Eshetic Periodontal Surgery, University of Bern, Switzerland and took first place in Advance Surgical Master Curriculum in Regenerative Implant Dentistry, University of Szeged, Hungary.
His extensive knowledge and experience in implant and cosmetic dentistry ensures that we can offer our patients a service second to none in Scotland.

Clive has two decades of experience providing dental implants in general dental practice. He was the first dentist in Scotland to embrace 3D digital imaging, having installed the iCAT CBCT scanner in 2005. Clive completed the FGDP Diploma in Implant Dentistry in 2007.
Throughout this 25 year career, he has been committed to post-graduate dental education, both in the diplomas and qualifications that he has obtained and on the courses that he teaches. He believes that embracing technology and constantly learning new skills are the essential keys to succeeding in dental practice and is looking forward to bringing these skills to the Clifton Clinic.

Lyall graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2013. He then carried out his VT training in the west end of Glasgow before moving full time into general practice, where he has worked for the last 10 years.
Lyall became a member of the royal college of physicians and surgeons of Glasgow in 2018 and has recently graduated from the University of Birmingham with a Master’s degree in Restorative Dentistry.
He also works part-time in Glasgow Dental Hospital providing complex endodontic treatment to patients referred from their general dental practitioners.
Lyall is happy to accept referrals for non-surgical endodontic treatments. In addition, he is happy to register new adult patients for general and restorative dentistry.
Lyall is really excited to join us and takes pride in providing high quality treatment to his patients in a relaxed and calming environment.

Julie started working in Dentistry in 1988 & trained as a Dental Nurse, she gained her qualification as a RDN in 1995. Julie has worked in the private sector for over 20 years.
Julie has been a practice Manager now for 13 years & was very fortunate to have worked with Boots Dental Care & The Dental Clinic where she gained experience working with experienced clinicians from general dentistry to specialised treatments, endodontics, orthodontics, cosmetic & Implants. Julie was lucky to have the support from senior management which in turn gave her the knowledge that she now has to give patients an outstanding experience.
Julie took over as practice Manager 5 years ago and we have expanded the implant business from one implant surgeon to three.
Outside of the dental business Julie spends her time with her husband and 2 children.
Hygienist

Kerry joined our team of dental hygienists in 2012 and has many years of experience. She qualified at Edinburgh Dental Institute and has since trained in customer service with the American dental management group Jamieson Management.
Throughout her career Kerry has worked in various sectors of dentistry including General Practice, Specialist Orthodontic Practice and was involved in smile make overs in a Cosmetic Dental Practice, she is therefore a very experienced member of our team.
Kerry's main focus now is on implant dentistry, she helps to maintain our implants here at Clifton. Kerry is very friendly and enjoys putting our patients at ease, creating a pleasant environment that her patients enjoy visiting.
Outside of work Kerry enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
Hygienist

Since qualifying Susanne has worked for the NHS, commercial, private and hospital services.
Susanne also works in the hospital service in the specialist periodontal department and is involved in teaching Hygienist / Therapist students.
Susanne works for us part time.
Treatment Co-ordinator/Dental Nurse

Iona began her career in dentistry in 2008 supporting clinicians and dental team in various practice roles.
Iona recently joined the team in Clifton as our treatment Co-ordinator, working closely with all the clinicians and management to ensure patients’ dental journey is smooth and understandable from start to finish.
Iona brings a smile and giggle for the whole team. On her down time she enjoys family time with her wee bulldog Dave.

Susan qualified in 1987 in Glasgow as a dental nurse and worked in an NHS practice for 18 1/2 yrs.
She has worked with us for 14 years supporting Dr Allan Pirie as an implant nurse.
Susan has a supporting role as part of the implant team hosting restoration events and coordinating hands-on courses for dental colleagues keen to learn about implants as an alternative option for their own patients.
Looking to the future Susan is keen to expand her knowledge of developing dental technology/techniques whilst providing a caring and relaxing atmosphere for our patients.
In her spare time Susan relaxes with yoga classes, going to the cinema/concerts and reading.
Dental Nurse

Brian is a dental nurse working widely within a surgical setting at Clifton dental and implant clinic, where he enjoys being involved in dental implants, sedation, bone augmentations along with a host of other surgical and general treatments.
Brian has worked at Clifton for several years and since joining has gone on to complete courses and get qualifications in Intravenous sedation, phlebotomy, Intravenous-cannulation among others.
Brian enjoys working within our busy clinic and takes joy in building good rapor with patients in all aspects of the patient journey within the practice.
In his spare time Brian enjoys running, going to the gym and travel.
Dental Nurse
Collette is originally from the East coast Collette qualified as a dental Nurse in 2013 in Edinburgh. Working in dentistry for 10 years Collette had time out to have her children and career change for some time but has decided to come back to what she enjoys and knows best.
Since Re-joining Dentistry in 2022 with the Clifton Dental practice as support to all members of the clinical team and maintains LDU and keeps on top of sterilization of all instruments which helps run a smooth practice for the great patient journey.
In her spare time, she loves spending time with her husband, kids and family. Collette also enjoys long walk with her fur-baby Milo.

Niamh has shown an interest implant dentistry, oral surgery as well as general dentistry. Niamh also enjoys working alongside her colleagues to ensure that she is developing well with her knowledge in dentistry.
Niamh likes to spend time with her boyfriend and friends & also loves travelling and going on holidays.
Deputy Manager

Julie has been a dental nurse for almost 24 years and enjoys her time working. The good thing about working with her colleagues is that she is gaining more experience in the field of Implants. Julie also looks after all the Referrals that come into Clifton.
Her interests are going to different countries on holiday, reading and spending quality time with her husband and 2 gorgeous girls.
Receptionist
Pauline has worked as a receptionist for 16 years. Pauline supports all colleagues within the business and takes accountability of all administration duties to help run an efficient reception desk.
When not at work Pauline likes going on holiday with her husband John and children; Jonathan and Christopher, she also enjoy going out for meals and movies with her husband.
