Helen qualified from Dundee in 1979 and spent 6 years in the hospital service carrying out Oral and Maxillo-Facial work at various centres in the UK. After some years travelling around the world and living and working in Australia, she returned to the UK and went into General Practice in Edinburgh.
Keeping up her surgical interest, Helen also had a part time position at Edinburgh Dental School and Hospital, before joining the newly opened Boots private practice in Edinburgh in 2001 and has remained in private practice since. This environment is ideally suited to carrying out more advanced restorative and cosmetic work along with developing her implant skills.

I started working in Dentistry in 1988 & trained as a Dental Nurse, I gained my qualification as a RDN in 1995 and I am currently registered with the GDC. I have over 20 years experience within the private sector.
I have been a practice Manager now for 13 years & was very fortunate to have worked with Boots Dental Care & The Dental Clinic where I gained experience working with experienced clinicians from general dentistry to specialised treatments ,endodontics, orthodontics , cosmetic & Implantology. At this point in my career I was lucky to have the support from senior management which in turn gave me the knowledge that I now have to give patients an outstanding experience.
I left The Dental Clinic after nearly 10 years service and moved to a large and well known referral clinic within the West end of Glasgow, Clifton Dental Clinic where we concentrate in Implant placement and endodontic treatments.
Over the last 3 years since I have taken over as practice Manager at Clifton we have expanded the implant business from 1 implant surgeon to three as the business grows from strength to strength.
It is my intention to ensure that we deliver a world class service and aim to exceed patient & referring dentists expectations.
Outside of the dental business I spend the rest of my time with my husband and my 2 children.
